Happy Tails

Dear Bitzy (and Animal Outreach):

Thank you for helping us get together with Shea.  All went well with our meeting upstate, and Shea came home with us.  She is a wonderful, playful, loving "rottie", and she is also very sweet.  Her former owner loved her very much.  I wanted to send you a picture, she is so pretty.  After some leash work we go out to the car to "practice".  She was petrified so I wanted to show her the car is fun!  Well, it worked so I was able to send this pic to show you that issue is firmly resolved.  Now you can't get her out of the car!  And its great because we take little trips & I want Shea to be able enjoy them. Thank you again!  We are enjoying her, and I think she's really happy, too!
Sincerely,
Beth

Connie adopted Coco and writes:

My grandson, Nick, and I took Coco to the pet store today. She was like a kid in a candy store! She was running around and sniffing all the treats and trying out all the balls. We ended up with lots of treats and a half dozen balls and squeeky toys. She is just marvelous! We just love her!!!!!

      Reno the Cat

    RENO the cat

When we first set eyes on the straggling looking cat with the odd look in his eye our hearts were broken. He was blind and his fur was thin and dull. To make matters worse his living conditions were deplorable, meaning a small cage where he could barely move for seven months. Needless to say, he tugged on our heartstrings so we decided to take a chance and bring Reno into our home. After providing all of the proper vet care we learned that Reno had even more bad news coming his way – he was FIV positive. He was also up there in age being a bit over 13 years old, but we were determined to show him a good home.

Quickly he adapted to his new surroundings and has shown us how much of a love bug he can be, despite his age and affliction. He has been a part of our family for well over a year and we are so very blessed and fortunate to have this unique, loveable and truly wonderful – and might I mention “handsome boy” in our life.

editor's note: Reno's has FIV he has shown no signs whatsoever, and he's extremely healthy (strong heart and vitals.)  An FIV cat is not a death sentence.
